Conveniently located on a street that is near downtown and with easy access to Highway One and all Peninsula destinations, this recently renovated home is an attractive option for your next visit to the Carmel area. Easy access to Big Sur, Carmel Valley, Santa Cruz and the Bay area make this a perfect home base for day trips around the central California coast. If you stay even closer to home, you'll find restaurants, shops, galleries, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, golf and miles of beaches and hiking trails, so you don't have to venture far to find something fun for everyone in your group.
The 1,400 sf home is adorned with wood floors throughout and lofty ceilings with exposed beams, some painted white and some left natural, custom tile features and special touches to delight.
Pull into the driveway and climb the stone steps to enter the garden gate under an arbor. The lushly landscaped yard is very attractive and welcoming when you arrive. A small covered porch has a small table and two chairs overlooking the front garden. The yard is fenced.
Living Space:
Enter the attractive living room with wood floors and vaulted ceilings.
The living room has a large low-profile sofa with chaise perfect for lounging and a soft swivel armchair placed in front of the gas fireplace (operated with an easy remote) and a large flat screen TV with Apple TV (no cable). Well-equipped for extended stays!
Living room, kitchen, dining area, bedrooms and bathrooms are all located on the same level. Only the garage (storage only) and laundry room are located downstairs.
Kitchen and Dining:
The fully-equipped kitchen is ready for the chef in your party to whip up tasty meals at the home but when you want to dine out, you will have a bevy of choices from the world-class restaurants of Carmel and nearby coastal towns. The stunning kitchen has hexagon mosaic tile backsplash, solid countertops and stainless steel appliances including a 5-burner gas stove, double ovens and a wine fridge. The large apron-front sink is located in the island which also has 3 stools.
A cozy dining room located just off the kitchen easily seats 4.
Step out the French doors near the kitchen / living area to find the propane BBQ grill and a dining table with chairs. Top notch landscaping surrounds the seating areas including a custom-made curved bench surrounding the fire pit. String lights add sparkle and evening ambiance along with a softly bubbling water feature. A relaxing hot tub is also located on the back patio.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedroom #1 has a king bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower-over-tub and custom tile. This room has direct access to the back patio near the hot tub.
Bedroom #2 has a queen bed.
Bedroom #3 has a bunk bed with a full/double bed on the lower level and a twin bed on the top level, and a small writing desk and chair.
The hallway bathroom has a tiled standing shower.
The laundry room is located in the basement.
Off-street parking for one vehicle. Street parking is limited but generally available for one more car near the home. The garage is not available for guest parking but it is a great place to stash your golf clubs or rented bikes, if you wish.
One well-behaved dog is possible with pre-approval, an additional pet deposit and a signed pet addendum.
This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner. Extended stays are often possible.

Overall Comment
Two months gave us a chance to really explore Carmel-by-the-Sea. Location on Carpenter Street very noisy from heavy traffic. Get in shape before stay if you plan to walk the hills into Carmel.
