Sanctuary Vacation Rentals is proud to present "Ocean's One Eleven"! This home sleeps up to 6 guests.

The unsurpassed ocean views will take your breath away at this 3,280 sf property situated cliff-side to the Pacific. Located on the west side of Highway One in the Carmel Highlands area, Ocean's One Eleven is a prime destination for your next visit to the area. You will feel like you are away from it all in your private retreat but when you must venture out, you will find you are not far from any and all Monterey Peninsula attractions, boutique shopping, world-class golf, fine dining and a bevy of hiking options. The location is perfect for day-tripping south through Big Sur and north to Santa Cruz and even the San Francisco Bay area.

Slip on your shoes and take the short trail to the nearby pebble-covered beach located just below the house.

Living Spaces:
The open-concept living area has a gracious living room with full ocean views, lofty ceiling, a sectional sofa, a large flat screen Smart TV and direct access to the deck. Large windows take full advantage of the white-water ocean views outside. The fireplace is purely decorative in nature (no burning) but a few battery-operated candles give off a nice glow.
Radiant floor heating throughout the home contributes to a cozy feeling even if there is a winter storm outside.
A separate, upstairs family room has comfy seating, Smart TV, a small fridge, closet, bathroom with shower and an upper deck perfect for viewing sunsets.
Both televisions are Smart TVs so Guests can bring their logins and access their own streaming subscriptions (no cable).

Kitchen and Dining:
The home has a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen to inspire the chef in you with stone counter tops, stainless steel appliances, two sinks, wall oven, kitchen tools and numerous small appliances including a drip coffeemaker, Nespresso coffee maker, rice maker, electric kettle, blender, crock pot and a French press. Everyone will fight over who gets to do the washing up when they see the stunning ocean view from the kitchen sink.
There are stools at the kitchen counter for casual dining plus a dining table and wet bar nearby.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms:
All three dedicated bedrooms are located on the lower level of the home.
Bedroom #1 is a large primary suite with a king bed, ocean view and an en suite bathroom with two sinks, a jetted soaking tub and a standing shower. This bedroom has direct access to the back patio, a love seat, blackout shades and new plush carpet (2023).
Bedroom #2 has a queen bed and is slightly separate from the other bedrooms.
Bedroom #3 has two twin beds. Enjoy the new (2023) plush carpet.
A hallway-accessed bathroom on this lower level has a tub-shower combo.
The home also has a lower level powder room/half bathroom.
Another sleeping option is available in the upstairs family room which has a queen sleeper sofa with a plush foam topper for added comfort. The nearby bathroom on this upper level has a standing shower. The family room has direct access to an upper deck (young children should not be unattended in this area).

A deck with seating is located just outside of the living room and kitchen. A small pathway laces through low native landscaping that enhance the ocean view beyond. Please note that this location is directly on a bluff immediately next to the ocean and there are no fences blocking the view. Guests should exercise prudence and supervise children when outside.

There's a laundry room with large front-loading washer and dryer and a utility sink.

Sorry, Ocean's One Eleven is not a pet friendly home.

A two-car garage and more vehicles can fit in the driveway inside the property's gate.

Overall Comment

This property and its location are amazing. We stayed here to enjoy the Big Sur, Carmel and Monterey area and were very pleased with its central location. The drive from and to the SFO airport were the only longer drives. The property has plenty of rooms and beds to separate the early risers from the night owls and had pretty much everything we needed. The garden is really well maintained with paths and benches to enjoy it. You can hike down to the rocky beach using the path between the rental property and the one next door. The view from the second floor deck is really nice too. We couldn't be happier with our stay and exploring the area. Hiking among the redwoods at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, a whale watching cruise in Monterey, driving the 17 Mile Drive and Highway 1 down to Julia Pfeiffer State Park were highlights. There are also restaurants with great views including Pacific's Edge and Nepenthe. There is a lot to do in a relatively small area and this property is right in the middle of it. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Trip to Carmel

Overall Comment

This was a perfect house for our family. The views were phenomenal from every room. We have stayed in many rental homes and this one was extremely well stocked. Plenty of paper goods, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, etc. The kitchen had every item you could imagine including four different options for making coffee (nespresso, drip, keurig and french press) as well as kitchen extras like zip lock bags, saran and tin foil and basic spices. The house was super clean and everything was in good working order. The rental company was easy to work with and called and texted before we arrived so that we would have an easy way of reaching out in case we needed anything. All in all, a perfect family vacation home -- close to Big Sur, Carmel by the Sea and Carmel Valley.

Overall Comment

We were so happy to arrive and find Ocean’s One Eleven to be as beautiful, comfortable, and equipped for our stay as expected. Photos cannot do the view justice—you are looking onto the ocean from every room. We enjoyed the porch and just sitting out watching the waves crash. The house is enormous and has everything one might need for their stay. We can’t wait to come back!

Overall Comment

Yes - one word says it all. The Views from this property are spectacular - pictures simply do not capture the true beauty of this setting. This is the primary selling point for this lovely property. The interior has some features that bear evidence of the home’s age (cabinetry & architecture); but furniture in the living spaces and the bathrooms have been tastefully decorated. Inside and out, this home will not disappoint! The management company was very responsive and welcoming. Even though we travel to other destinations on our California road trip and saw many wonderful sites my friends and I thought this property was the crown jewel - rivaling the sites along the famous 17-mile drive. We all want to come back again...
