Lovely Cottage

I liked this cottage very much. It has lots of windows and plantation shutters throughout, which were great for letting sunlight in by day, and keeping the cold out at night. The beds were super comfortable, and the bed linens were good quality. The kitchen was well stocked with attractive dinnerware, and decent cookware. There was a comfortable sofa in the living area, but that was the only seating option. It would be nice to have at least one easy chair and good reading lamp available. There's a great big screen TV with both cable and streaming options, and a second TV in the master bedroom. The cottage is located in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood. It's about a 15 minute walk to town, and the coastal trail, which is just a bit further than I like. Overall, I liked this cottage very much. I just wish it was closer to town.

Overall Comment
This was a lovely place to spend two months - well equipped kitchen, private and sunny patio, comfortable beds. Perfect for two people and a dog, with a large forested park half a block away. Wonderful location - walkable to the ocean and to downtown Pacific Grove. Very quiet neigborhood. Just a note- I would not recommend this house for 2 couples, as there is only one sofa for evening TV viewing or conversations. Folding chairs are fine for dining, but not relaxation.

After an unfortunate accident my FIRSTday, and 2 wks in hosp after surgery on my broken leg,I was lucky to get back to the “Bungalow”- so light and bright and cozy, w/ the fireplace- and nice weather to be able to eat lunch in the patio��the staff of SVR were so nice and made sure all my needs were met!!

This was a perfect location to both work from home and vacation when Pacific Grove has fabulous weather. This property is impecably decorated and well equipped. It's conveniently located for walking and biking to downtown, the beach, and into 17 mile drive.Sanctuary Vacation Rentals responded quickly to any request.

Overall Comment
We loved this cozy comfortable home. The bed was so comfortable and every appliance in the kitchen was so easy to work. There were different areas to sit in the yard so you could always find sun. The park at the end of the block made it easy to walk the dog. We will definitely stay here again.

February 2020 Stay

Overall Comment
All things considered the 3747 met all of our needs. We stayed for a month. We have a dog and the house/yard very dog friendly. George Washington Park a half block away an added bonus. Wonderful neighborhoods in which to take walks. The house itself was very cozy but not cramped for two people and a dog with good amenities. Some suggestions:
1. The cute stools with pillows pictured pretty much not functional as sitting devices, especially for senior citizens. We purchased a couple of chairs from second hand store at next to nothing for our stay then returned them.
2. The cabinet in the corner of the second bedroom looks cute but is unstable when opening the doors-we put shims under the front legs. If any young kids happen to start climbing on it, there could be a disaster.
3. Kitchen items were good, except no cheese grater and the pot holders didn't arrive until the first cleaning.
4. Hardly enough room for two to eat at the kitchen "cocktail table".
5. After the mid-stay cleaning it appeared that the dirty towels were taken but not replaced. As two people we were fine but if there were four, might be different.
6. Had to stand on a chair to reach items at top of kitchen cabinets (discovered the small folding step stool under sink in bathroom towards end of stay).
7. Perhaps we missed it, but we never did see written down anywhere the number for the phone land line.
Upon leaving we filled out and mailed the evaluation form provided.
The above are minor things. If we plan on another extended stay in the future we would book 3747 in a heartbeat and would recommend it to others.
