Home is in a great location. Minutes away from Cannery Row and Lover's Point. Plenty of space to hangout. Home is on the older side and some areas shows its age. Great place for a family vacation

Charming house in a great location

Note that the room above the garage is a separate rental (which we didn't realize until after booking). The description says the garage is not locked but it actually is so bikes can be left inside although there is no room to park a car. The clawfoot tub was marked as unusable which was disappointing. The house is pretty creaky in some spots which is to be expected with an older house. The owner was very helpful and responsive.

Great location, and great view. While no one expects an historic house to have modern amenities, the house is tired and needs maintenance. Primary bedroom sink didn’t drain and backed up with yucky live gnats and dirt. 2nd bathtub was not usable. Downstairs bath sink did not have hot water. Some wall plugs were inoperable so charging electronics required switching out phones. Squeaky doors needed WD 40.

I knew that the location was going to be great but it was honestly spectacular!! We walked to the aquarium one day and that was quick. We walked every day along the beach, then to the downtown area and then back to the house. The location made for a perfect walk. We found the beds to be very comfortable. We had two families of four staying in this house and it was the perfect layout for all of us. None of us were ready to leave when the time came. The owner was
great to communicate with. We would stay here again and we definitely recommend this property to everyone else

Located across the street from a beautiful cove and the coastline trail. We saw deers, otters, pelicans, sea gulls and seals on most days. This very charming old house provided the space and everything we needed. The 10 minute walk to the Aquarium and Cannery Row was delightful and convenient. My family of five will plan to visit again.

We had a wonderful time. this was a perfect location for our family of grandparents, parents and grandchildren (6 & 31/2). we were able to walk to Aquarium, the beach at Lover's Point and several playgrounds. We always enjoy favorite restaurants and shops downtown. We even included the Dennis the Menace Playground in Monterey!

The Yellow House was a wonderful place for our annual family gathering - we were all completely charmed from the moment we walked in! The house is beautiful, welcoming and comfortable for our group of eight. It was thoughtfully stocked with everything we could need - we like to cook together and the well-equipped kitchen was a delight. The location has a spectacular view of the Bay and shore (the window seat was continuously occupied!) and it's an easy walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Lovers' Point, and downtown Pacific Grove. Walking along the coast trail, wildlife-watching, photography, and shopping filled up the days. We contacted the owner with a couple of questions, and she was helpful and kind. We were very reluctant to leave, and hope to return to the Yellow House for our next family holiday - and have enthusiastically recommended it to friends.

Loved everything about this house except for the beds which were extremely soft and some had dips in them from many years of use. Highly suggest getting some new mattresses that match the quality of the house and all other amenities. Location can’t be beat, great kitchen, dining area and general facilities. Other than my backache from the squishy mattress, it was a perfect stay.

First, the home is beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice. The photos of the water and cliffs they show on the listing are right outside your door. The house has beautiful views of the water from multiple places inside.
The check in process was incredibly easy and the property management company followed up through email and Phone with clear instructions on how to check in.
The location is also perfect—it’s an easy walk to downtown Monterey and a very close drive to Carmel. I cannot recommend staying here enough!

The location was perfect, with fabulous views and direct access to the walking/bike trail- provided great trips to Cannery row and Lover’s point with ocean views and mist at times. My only regret with the house was not being able to use the spa tub. The kitchen Was wonderful, bedrooms and baths comfortable sizes. Would have been nice to open the the windows more, but understand the safety issues. Overall a relaxing and splendid experience. I would do it again!

This was my first VRBO experience. We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this beautiful old Victorian house. The house was clean and well maintained. It was ideal for myself, hubby, parents, and 3 kids. The ocean view window seat was a favorite spot to relax after a busy day at the beach, hiking, tide pooling. The color palette and home decor was soothing, relaxing, and definitely gave the vibe of dreamy vacation getaway. We would stay at this house again. It’s a perfect location just steps from the beach, walking distance to cannery row in Monterey for shopping and dining, short drive to Carmel beach, 17 mile drive, point Lobos. Sanctuary vacation rentals was very helpful and responded to questions quickly and Irma was also very kind and answered phone right away. They gave great advice on things to do and restaurant options.

We found endless opportunities for fun: walks along the ocean to a Lovers Point and beyond, a path for the joggers, The Aquarium, great area restaurants, 17 Mile Drive, the beach, the seals, Carmel Mission and more.
